alright sorry to come running to the forums again but if i don't get a little help i'm pretty much fucked. A few weeks ago my left bumber became somewhat unresponsive, and slowly it got worse and worse until finally it just didn't work. I took it into a place called quantronics to see what they could do. Without really informing me of what was wrong they told me it would be minimum $60 for a cheaper less effective fix or a $100 complete fix. I'm thinking of calling nintendo repair or something along those lines but i would like to know if anyone knows what exactly the problem is. In other words i want a second opinion because i suspect these guys are trying to jip me >.>

So your left "trigger' button is busted?

(watch the swears-it's a pg 13 forum-I got told off for that the other night :( )

Anyways-just the botton would only be a couple of dollars but you should get them to explain what the exact problem is.

What currency are we talking about-For $70 AUS I can get my snapped ds fixed (top screen...decapitated).

Nintendo would give you best service...but cost is unknown.

...But for giving 2 options and cost...ethier the proglem is THAT bad or they are trying to jib ya.

If I knew what currency you were using I could give a better guess.

Seal your lips around the button and blow, hard.

    And no, I'm not joking.

    A cheap-but effective-method to fix it :)

    It's like a cartridge blow-it'll help...

But let's hope it doesn't have the nasty side affects (it can damage the carts after too many blows...HAY WAIT i'M OFF TOPIC TIME TO RUN!)

alright thanks everybody, and by the way its AUS dollars, and no its not dirty lol. The guys i gave it to washed out all the crap (or so they said) the matter is a broken something or other. I think i might take it apart and diagnose the problem myself

The problem is typically dirt obstructing the button, or something to that effect. The blowing will hopefully dislodge it.

If all else fails, you will need to open up your DS and clean the junk yourself.

    Here's a link to the tutorial: http://www.consolezombie.com/NDS/DS-Lite-Bottom-Screen-Replacement.html

Also, while you have it open, I would recommend taking a Q-tip swap of rubbing alcohol and cleaning the button contacts.
