I'm looking for a real time strategy game i played a demo of around 2003-4. it was a little like machines at war. the problem is that i can remember almost every bit of the game except for the name :( . to start the game the player had to click on the part of the world they wanted to go to(each was a mission). the demo allowed a choice of 3 missions and was player vs CPU only.

The game was set in the future(not sure if on earth or not) and the only available units(in the demo) were tanks. the main objective of the missions was to destroy the enemy's main base. there was no option of building any structures. instead, the player had to capture neutral(white) or enemy's(green - the player was blue) factories, by attacking them, to produce tanks. they were produced automatically every 30 seconds or so. there was an option of setting the spawn point of each tank(where it would go after it came out of the building) in its respective factory. destroying buildings was also not possible, any structure attacked and reduced to zero hp would explode, but instead of falling it would just change colour respectively to match the player who captured it. each tank could be upgraded in the factory. the types i can remember were:
Atom - a not upgradeable tank bomb with an atomic sign on top. when shot at it exploded
that's the only name, but i remember more types:
a laser tank which fired weak laser shots out of a rectangular barrel
    a tank with two barrels
a tank with the barrel facing 45 degrees upwards, it was like a grenade launcher

also there were turrets which could be built:
a mortar turret which launched something like gunpowder. it exploded on contact with enemy or ground
an anti aircraft turret which fired 4 missiles into the air. this was used in case the enemy tried to use one of their specials.

there were also what i called 'specials'. basically they were special big ships you could summon to any point of the map to attack the enemy. there were three(or two?) of them. a big bomber plane, which would slowly fly over the designated area dropping bombs, and something like a triangle which spun above the area and dropped circles of fire straight down from three circles beneath it. i can't remember the third one. they all had refresh times between uses.

That's about all i can recall from the game. hope someone knows what I'm talking about cause i looked everywhere and didn't find it...

i admire how much you remember :) kudos
I play RTS games aswell, but I just can't think of anything like that...
do you remember what the box art was like? or what game company made it? those would help.

have you try C&C 4? It's a great game. The graphics and effects is pretty cool.

But, at first time, I need to do tutorial game first to understand the control.
