"It's a chance for people who have never thought of themselves as 'musically inclined' to jump right in and play through entire songs, compose their own music and sing along with friends."

SING along with friends? I mean wouldn't it seem weird to you if you saw 3 or 4 guys/girls singing along to one person who is using a portable machine.

:O maybe buskers will start to use this instead of the real guitars.

So on to the topic. Would you sing along with your friends, in public or in a house?

    uuuuummmmmm, :-\

i hate to inform you, but i have seen people (and not just one or two) singing along to jam sessions (the japanese hite utaeru) as well as osu! tatakae! ouendan when i was in yoyogi park and jingu bashi in tokyo earlier this year. they were having a great frackin time. kinda made me wish we had parks or hangouts where people were not so "too cool for school" (in north america) to mess around with DS. lots play it, but limit themselves to the distance of on-line play only ..

    or so it seems.

    just my two cents :)
