    Hello,

since a few days I use openSuSE 10.3 as my host OS and I still want to game a bit. Lucky me there was a pecompiled RPM for ePSXe 1.6.0 in one repository which I installed. I also downloaded the Plug-Ins pack that was available in there. This is the repo btw:
    ftp://ftp5.gwdg.de/pub/opensuse/repositories/Emulators/openSUSE_10.3/

So I installed the plugins and emulator and started ePSXe. Everything went fine (graphics, sound, cdrom, bios) except the gamepad. I can't get ePSXe to find my Logitech Dual Action Gamepad. PCSX finds it but I dislike the emulator somehow. :/
Can someone tell me if the Linux version of ePSXe actually supports other joypad plugins and if yes, where can I get them. Or can I manually set the joypad config so that he detechts the gamepad?

    Specs:
    OS: openSuSE 10.3 (kernel 2.6.22.17-0.1-bigsmp) x586
    Emu: ePSXe 1.6.0
Gamepad: Logitech Dual Action (Product ID: 0xc216 (C216))
    Path to device: /proc/bus/usb/005/004

Or should I better try running the Windows-version via Wine? ???

Thank you in advance for any help!

The windows version supports joypads via windows joypad configuration (probably via directinput). Maybe linux is similar?

I tried two plugins I found at NGEmu.com and I still wasn't able to enter some gamepad commands. I will try the "Windows ePSXe under Wine"-method first. :(

I guess I already solved the problem myself. Just below the option "Gamepad" is "External Gamepad". I didn't notice this. There I can switch to another joypad driver. ;D
