when you boot ubuntu from a live cd dos it change your hard drive at all, and what do you put in to make it boot as a live cd?
a live CD will not change your hard disk, and you need to change the boot order (in the bios) to boot from a CD before the hard disk
Yeah, the OS won't be written until you press the Install button. The live CD just lets you sample what Ubuntu is like. Note, however, that since the OS is booting from a CD, it will be very, very slow. It won't be like that once you install it onto your hard drive, though.
