Ok, using dvd dycryptor I ripped out resident evil degeneration, I got these vob files... Can I rename those as avi and be ok? But here is the thing...there is 5 files (one is the IFO which I got no clue what to do with...) each about 1gb each. I want to combine them all into 1 single movie file, that's preferably less than 1+2gb. What can anyone suggest-or at the least make it like those torrented movies that are full quality dvd rips at 700mb...that would suit me better EDIT:I found out how to make it one file...but the size is what worries me. How can I shrink this? I have a psp conversion app, but I might prefer to have it...smaller for transport (not my psp-for pc use) EDIT:2 I kinda want the avi file I have to be about 1gb instead of 3gb...how can I do this or must I rip the movie again in another method?

That is what I'm using, I got the DVD and I was planning on RIPPING it which I have done so, it gave me FROM THE OFFICIAL DUAL LAYER DVD a 3gb file. Now I used the stream option and now have a a single vob file, I chanfed the name to avi, and it works...thing is how can I condence it for transport? I got the psp formatted version i wanted (799mb...planning to upload it ) but can I shrink the avi file I have, which is 3gb, to prehaps 1gb?
