thanks to all who helped me with my English thing, the teacher made her pet :-[ . but i want songs that really cut deep and make ya feel better, as i don't have the best life, but its recovering and i made friends, but my days being bullied still hurt, and my mood swings are freaky, i releised that songs calm me down, does anyone have a list? oh and this site has helped me with everything i really needed to know, i can sometimes hardly believe this is a rom site
No worries, alot of people stopped downloading Roms just because of the forums (I'm a veteran and well.. I do download ROMS still ) and yeah... the forums aren't like the main site, the forums are LEGAL
Do the Gregorian Masters of Chants fall under this category? Seriously their cover versions of Loosing my Religion (R.E.M.) & Blasphemous Rumors (Depeche Mode) really strung a chord in me And I think trance would also fit this category like Enigma or Bjork maybe?
dont even get me started on emo songs..... (*&$&^#*^%&@$* /emo rant...) it depends what your into really, im a massive pink floyd fan so that always calms me down, also depending on your style tool can be relaxing in a powerful sort of way. If your not into the heavyness of tool then try a perfect circle (maynards other band).
I liked A Perfect Circle's cover of Imagine. My roommate got their cover CD, it was filled with a bunch of anti-war, pro-peace type covers... it was pretty good, but I think Imagine was the best song off of it.
Blue October has some good emo songs. "Let It Go" and "Hate Me" from the album "Foiled" is excellent. Enigma is great for just about everything. Enya is also nice. Before I forget, if you can find it, Glenn Danzig's "Black Aria" is awesome. It's instrumental with some chants in it, dark and moody. I love it.
There are a few Muse songs that I like when I'm feeling a bit down, but most of my collection is downtempo or off the beaten trail - if you want calming, I would suggest classical (which is really quite relaxing if you're into it), jazz (again, if you like it), or my personal favorite, Post-Rock - bands like Sigur Ros, Explosions in the Sky and Ratatat are some nice, downtempo diversions - some other downtempo stuff might be Air, Arcade Fire, Andrew Bird, Coldplay, Jason Mraz or the new The Killers album, Day & Age. Only thing remotely "emo" that I know is Say Anything, and they're pretty good.
