I've heard you could go up to 16GB

Actually the R4 is not SDHC compatible so the limit is 2 gig micro SD.

I believe there are three or four SDHC carts available that can handle up to 32GB.

Q: How many files can I have on the R4?
    A: R4 Adapter supports 128MB~4GB TF(MicroSD) card , 4GB=32Gbit

32Gbit doesn't mean 32GB, it means 4GB. 8Gbit is 1GB and 16Gbit is 2GB etc. That's why it has bit at the end. There may be support for SDHC cards in the future though.

I know 32Gbit isn't 32Gigabytes, it was my bad at my first post I said 16 warren said 2 the site said 4 so 4GB is the max

No it's supposed to be 4GB which is the limit. I'm not fully sure as I don't have a 4GB.

4Gb is the limit. that is if you can find a 4Gb micro SD that is not SDHC. I found it once in tigerdirect, forgot which brand. but i didn't purchase it since i don't see the point. the next thing i know, they don't offer it anymore. is a very rare piece of flash memory. i guess no one produce it much.

but 4Gb and above is norm for SDHC, which R4 will not support nor M3 simply. but M3 Real support it.
