Well, it's official - Steam/Microsoft have announced that a sequel to their zombie thriller, Left 4 Dead. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Left_4_Dead_2 http://l4d.com From the trailer and given information, the game takes place in the southwest of the United States, moving from Georgia into New Orleans. The game stars 4 new survivors as such, each to have their own backstory. Personally, I'm looking forward to the conman character Beyond this, some major additions have been announced, chiefly that of melee weapons - now, you can bring frying pans and chainsaws into battle, and these are sure to be a mainstay for close quarters combat or for when you run out of ammo. Beyond this, a new special Infected has been announced, as well as flame-proof enemies and a WANDERING WITCH who simply walks around and closes in on people... The new survivor characters for the cover of the first campaign. Given the look, the entire "movie" motif looks to be returning, as well. I'm pretty excited for this game. While it hasn't been long since the release of the first, the amount of work and detail placed into the game (play the developer's commentaries for a full, in-depth view) makes it seem as though Steam is pretty into what they've created. Also, on a side note: Half Life 2: Episode Three will never exist at this rate xD
I'm remarkably excited. ;D I've seen the multiplayer gameplay and it looks stupidly fun. I can't wait! And yes, if this keeps up, they'll never release the third episode of Half Life 2.
