L4D2 in australia got banned, because it involved *killing living people* with chain saws and mercilessly gunning them down (quoted from the newspaper the MX). Anyone from Australia feel the pain? Or does anyone know how i can play it on the 360, or do i have to download it and go PC?

EDIT: The game was not banned and is completely playable, but has content that has been censored here and there. Thanks for the clarification everyone.

Ooooooold news. The damn thing is just heavily censored now.

Oh, and it wasn't technically banned, it was "refused classification" as Australia doesn't have an R18+ rating for video games.

I actually just saw MW2 selling for $72. My first thought was "hey, that's cheap." My second thought was "wait, no it's not..."

That's true. Still, i wonder who is in charge of the classification on games in Australia.

    Some board.

Gamespot had an interview with the main man behind it, I agree with his points however....

It doesn't need to be excessively violent to be playable however :)

that is a bunch of crap if you ask me!! it's virtual...it's not like you can actually get high off of virtual speed or ecstasy.........(this is only one of the many topics that i don't agree with that are in that document!)

that is really not fair for anyone who lives in Australia!

i don't like politicians when they do that kind of junk................that makes me mad even though i don't live in australia.......

Max of 400 per person (800 for a couple who filed jointly) believe it was. Mine was direct deposit into my bank account.

He was making a stab at them because COD is all about killing humans, but they target Left for Dead because it features "killing of humans".

"Killing humans" isn't why L4D2 was refused classification.
