League of Legends is a fun free DotA-like defense game.

I started playing it few days ago, and I have to say it's really good. It has now 51 playable champions to choose, and only 3 maps, but it's still developing.
It has nice graphics and low requirements, it's certainly nicer to eye than original DotA itself, and it was actually made by the same guys who made Defence of the Ancients. Download is small so I advise you to try it if you like this kind of games.

Strategy? GANKING NOOBZ, THAT'S THE STRATEGY.


But it gets less interesting when enemy ganks you...

 

Dota type strategy game is probably the most least strategic of all strategy game types.It's more about micromanagement skill rather than pure intellectual battle.There are tactics here and there but tactic is not strategy.
Also,there is another one called Heroes of Newerth IIRC.

 

You need strategic thinking to make a tactic.

 

Heroes of Newerth is still in beta though... I'm gonna try it when it's complete.

It's online-dota like game with better graphics of course.It has it's own game lobby like League of Legends.

 

Just got Warwick today, I like playing as him, Twisted Fate and Sivir.
Also, after few matches with or versus Jax, I can approve that he really is a game braker... Unless he is controlled by a total noob, he alone can carry the team...
Should have bought him instead of Warwick xP
