EDIT:I found a fix for TTDS 1.17a07 without patching! Just go to:

And download dsm0096 and replace the files within the rar with the files within your TTMenu folder.

It fixes the:

If I do that, then I can't play M&L3 anymore.
And the Update only works with roms before 21/11/09.

 

The file that works for M&L3, You could always replace that one only when need to play it!, backup first

As i down't have a TTDS card, I alway's have a spare microds card and use it for trying files out on, mabe it would be a good idear for you!

That will be the infolib.dat not the extinfo.dat

They latest one is inside of this arcive

infolib.dat is only for speed loading times

 

What about R4 and N5? I'm getting the same problem. :'(

I tried loading Layton 4 through YSMENU, but then I get an error message saying:

r4patch.dat
NO_BOOT_LOADER

I found the r4patch.dat file, but I'm not sure where to put it. I put Layton 4 in the root of my microSD card, which seems to be the only place where YSMENU recognizes the rom file.

 

It could be the TTmenu folder or _systems_ folder

Yes i have just tested it, and it dose need to be in the ttmenu folder for the games to work

I deleted it and this happend

Are you sure its not a clone R4 like r4 sdhc?, it will not work on those cards

however the r4tf.dldi might fix it, but i can not say for sure

 

Would N5 count as an R4 clone? I just saw a guy with an N5 got YSMENU to to work. And yes, my flashcard is an N5

I have downloaded the N5 kernal, and the files are the same apart form the _AX_MENU.dat

Mabe you should go back to your kernal just for now

I finally found a patch for Layton 4. When I loaded the game it worked! Finally! ;D

But.... unfortunately, there's no sound and the game freezes after the first cutscene. :'(

 

PS, The N5 card is a clone of the R4

It seams like he deleted all files of his card and just put on the ysmenu files only

Thease files... as the ysmenu.nds has bean converted to _DS_Menu.dat
