I started up my laptop and then everything started going REALLY slow. I opened up task manager nothing was eating up my ram. did a full antivirus scan with norton AND kaspersky 3 times. ran it in safe mode. fully updated my drivers. closed off every background program possible including windows firewall and NOTHING WORKED!!! I wanted a few more ideas I could try before I format
I did all those too just yesterday except for soluto. I don't think I would need any more ram I already got 3 gigabytes.
nevermind. a full format did the trick. I didn't really have that many useful stuff on it except for those discontinued, no longer can be found on the internet freeware games as well as that old shut down fan made legend of zelda movie lol
could be a heat issue, buy one of those pressured air cans from cdrking, around 300 php, spray on the vents where the fan blows out/exhausts. that fixed my laptop, if you have process explorer, check for dpc (deferred procedure calls), try and install speedfan, check your cpu/gpu/hdd temps. if your dpc is high, it's either heat issue (might be fixed by cleaning the vents), or signs of a dying hdd(get hdtune for hdd health) cheers
Laptops quite often don't have temperature sensors, so if you get something stupid like minus 1 celcius, that's why.
