I'm interested and learning this stuff, there's something I want to ask. I have a Laptop that has Wi-Fi ability. So if my laptop has an internet connection, can other computer or gaming console like PSP or DS use my laptop as a Wi-Fi source ? In other word, they connect to the internet through my laptop. I read on some of the local forums that I may need a USB Wi-Fi Adapter called TP-LINK TL WN322G so it can be done. Any help or explanation is appreciated.
Re: Laptop for Wi-Fi source The term people are using today is "access point". I don't have a lot of experience with setting them up, so the best thing you can do is add it to your title. [edit]Some people consider ad hoc to be different, as with peer to peer. I think of them as different kinds of apples. Here's a quick guide that can at least get you started on what appears to be the minimums.
You can use your laptop as i wireless adapter for your XBOX 360 instead of buying the wifi adapter by microsoft that is like 60 dollars
That's not what he's talking about. GalihEB wants: Router > Wired > Bridge > Wireless You are describing: Router > Wireless > Bridge > Wired Try this: http://www.dslreports.com/forum/remark,13301334
Thanks for the explanation guys Though it seems that using that Wi-Fi adapter is a much simpler method, I'll take your advice to mind though.
