okay so a new problem has occurred with my laptop. for the past week or two i have heard a slight rattling noise coming from my laptop fan but when i opened it up it look fine. there was no sign of anything agents it or anything. so i closed it back up and there was no more rattling. so a day or so after it starts up again for a little while but only this time i started to hear this loud humming like noise is coming from it and no air is exulting. so i put my laptop into sleep mode and turned it back on, to my relief it started to sound normal again. after that it acted and sounded normal, until yesterday when the rattling started and it went into that humming noise again. today has been the worst, it went berserk and did that humming thing like 5 times today(spaced out between a few hours or more) and still everything looks normal. i've found that putting it into sleep mode or turning it off is the only solution, i tried to see what would happen if i just let it keep humming and it went back to normal after a about 10 seconds but only to go back into humming mode. so is the fan going out or is it something else. if its the worst and the fan is going out is there a easy way to replace it. it went out of warranty last December.

Note: for those who read my previous post about the overheating and dust, i've cleaned it out two months ago and it hasn't overheated since.

UPDATE: no more than 5 seconds after posting this it went back into humming mode.

is it not just the fan changing speed?

Id remove unnecessary start up items and do a virus scan. Also, download a processor heat meter to show the temperature when the fan comes on,or works harder.
My Laptop plays a few different tunes also, but its no problem.

    LMAO

This laptop also has. My dad looked in here and found that it was very heat.

Download that thingy from above (^) and post the temperature it gives.

It could simply be that your fan is beginning to fail. Simply go to your local pc shop and give'em your laptop make and model number, and they'll order you a new fan, and probably install it too. Sounds like hardware failure to me.

no this is not like that sound it sounds like its scraping agents something, its louder than the fan and it doesn't sound good. maybe humming was a wrong choice of words.

dont you think when you opened it and closed it back there is something blocking the fan or they are being closed to tight? something must be leaning on the fans somehow... or the fan is loosed somehow cause you said shaking it stops the noise...
