I'm having a problem with the Koudelka ISO. It runs and plays fine, but when it gets to a part of the game where the characters speak, the sound always skips a couple frames.

I'm running it on ePSXe, using the EternalSPU sound plugin, on a Windows XP with 2048mb of RAM. I've no idea what my computers sound card is.

    Any help would be appreciated.

try a different sound plugin, even if it works for other games, it is sometimes necessary to change plugins on a per-game basis

I have. I tried P.E.Op.S. DSound plugin and Andy's SPU plugin, both gave me the exact same result. Sorry I forgot to mention that.

:Edit: And trying three others, still the same thing. Maybe my sound card?

Sorry for the double post, but I've fixed it. Heres what I did.

With the Eternal SPU Plugin, in the Configuration, I switched the "Audio Out Method" to "SPUAsync", And changed the Async mode (Which was set on "Simple") to "Wait". Purrs like a kitty now.

Sorry for wasting your time :)

No problem. Glad you fixed it :)

Thanks for explaining how you fixed it, now someone else may benefit from that. 8)

It was hardly wasting our time! You posted a solution to a problem on our forum, so people doing a search in the future will find it, that's not a waste of time. In fact I'm gonna give you some karma for it.

Wow, perfect timing, I'm trying this.

EDIT: It worked... Thanks for indirectly helping me with my little sound problem.

Heh, you're welcome. And thanks for the Karma Seph :)

Also, for the heck of it: I know you don't have the ISO here, but in case anyone has a similar problem on Grandia (Like I did ;)) Switch the Audio Out Method to "Thread" instead. Makes the VA's less glitchy ;D
