kingdom hearts 385/2 days R4i

okay Im really desperate I have been trying for ages to get this game to work. I have a japanese dsi, R4i and have been trying to use the (english) rom I downloaded from this site. To begin with when I downloaded the game I got as far as when the actual gameplay starts (when roxas wakes up) and then it froze. Afterward, when I discovered it worked on my brothers R4 (for ds lite) I tried playing past the point where it froze, saved, and then continued from my R4i, this worked to some extent but then froze again as soon as I finished the mission. I really want to play this game and am almost on the verge of buying it just so it works. if anyone knows how to fix this problem please please help, I will love you forever XD

I think some users had luck if they skipped before the cutscene finished. I'm not 100% sure though.
