Ok, everytime I want to type an é, I just hit the ' and the e, but now, when I hit ', I get '' automatically, so I have to Ctrl-Alt-E, and that''s not really nice to type with, in fact, it''s very annoying, because it happens with the ` too. That makes typing out exercises for French classes almost take 3 times much time, is there anyway to fix it? Or do I need a new keyboard to fix it?

my guess is your keyboard language is set wrong, check in regional settings.

Thanks, it helped! ;D but, I still can't make é's, if I put it on English.. Gosh, I think I'm asking for a new one.

My computer language is Dutch, and so is my keyboard, it worked normally before..

That didn''t work... There is no Language tab on my Keyboard Control Panel section, and I want to type French. But still can type normal Dutch/English at the same time, without having to switch all the tiime.

Set it to "English (US-International)". That's the keyboard layout that allows you to type a symbol then a letter to type an accented word.

Not for me, then I get 'e. not e, and in English (US) I can't do Ctrl+Alt+E...

You need to change the keyboard layout to US-Int'l. As in changing it for whatever specific program you're using. It works for me.
