Okayy, so I've had my Rrazer Deathadder for awhile now, and I'm beginning to see a problem with the R and Y keys. For my R key, it sometimes doesn't register presses, or it enters it more than once even if I've only pressed it once. It's the same for my Y key except that it always registers, but sometimes more than once. I don't want to unscrew it as I bet there's a screw hidden under the rrubber things that prevent it from slipping.

    Any advice?

Take them out, clean it, and put them back.

    Worked for me.

I said I'm not taking it out. It's my mom's keyboard too, you know.

... I fail to see how 'it's my mom's keyboard' is an argument.

Turn the keyboard around, smack the keyboard on the back.

Better one. Buy a new one.

the keys come off without dismantling the keyboard, just stick a flat screwdriver under the key in question and twist it.

I tried it for laptop keys befoe, they wouldn't fit back. Is it the same here?

laptop keyboards and desktop keyboards are entirely different.

why does my keyboard have those weird metal things for certian keys like the spacebar and shift keys?

Any tips to cleaning the keys and the very dirty keyboard itself?

canned air and a damp cloth for the keyboard, soap and water for the keys.

The metal bars are so that you can hit the key anywhere along its length even though the button is only in the middle.

    Will dishwashing liquid work?

And how long to drown them in soap and water before removal to dry?

    yes

dip them in the water and scrub them all over, and lay out on a tray when done. Once they've all been cleaned put them in the airing cupboard (if you have one) overnight.

Alright, done all that. I don't have an "airing cupboard", whatever that is. and since Singapore is hot as hell, would it work to put the tray in the fridge or something?

no, you want the heat to dry them out. An airing cupboard is a heated cupboard for drying/airing clothes in.

uhkay... how about I just put it in the oven without turning the heat on?

just leaving it on the windowsill should work in singapore.
