If you really want a PS3, I find the free online gaming to be enough. The fact that I don't have to spend an extra $30 to $50 a year to play my games online is a really big plus for me. I do dislike not having L4D for myself, but my friend still has it, so I'll live. It depends though, which PS3 is it? If the hard drive space isn't matched or greater, I wouldn't trade.
In Before the fan boys. Well when I picked my console I went with ps3. I really wanted free internet because the 30 - 50 dollars for live per year isn't much to start with, but eventually it would pile up. There were no X-box exclusives that interested me unlike the PS3, MAG FTW. But on the other hand I only have one controller but if I had gotten a X-box I would have two, I don't have a mic. I only had enough money for MAG and assassins creed one. But if your friends have PS3's you should trade and get the PS3 so you can both play on the free Internet. Oh and when spelling 2 it's spelled two not to, just saying
I would keep the 360 personally. I would just fix the RROD and then flash the drive to play burned games. But if you want free online, then go with the PS3.
Yes, that is definitely true. Personally, if I had to pick one, I'd trade the PS3. Sure PS3 has free online, but it sucks.
I got both consoles. Right now i am having a blast on PS3. God of War 3, Uncharted 2, Heavy Rain and Demons Souls are just the games for me. I haven't booted up my 360 in 2 months. Sony is really making a come-back, so yeah, you should buy a PS3. I would suggesting to save up for a PS3. Both systems have great games. 1 little thing about the on-line gaming part on PS3. Most people claim that online on the PS3 sucks. I have to disagree with that. PS3 works just as fine as the Xbox 360. The only thing the 360 have is more services like Messenger, party chat, cross game chat and lots of more things i forgot. But thats why you pay the services/subscription. The PS3 doesn't have those services and therefore no costs, but that doesn't change the fact that i play online games perfectly.
FANBOY TALKING! dont say it sucks cause both are great systems, but ps3 is having better games lately,ps3 is the leading console in 2010,even tough i have both consoles i prefer ps3,free online and best controller, and best exclusives
im not being fanboy i just said what is real!ps3 is the best selling console this year, has one of the best games ever(god of war 3)that came out this year!free online sevice, what more do you want?i got the xbox 360 and PS3
Oh yeah, I'm not saying PS3 is bad, I'm just saying the online can't compare to 360s. Sony even admitted at one point it was done trying to play "Catch Up" with Xbox, as in, they gave up trying to put out as many videos, demos, downloadable games, et cetera as 360, but I've still had a ton of fun playing online with PS3.
I find the PS3 online to be pretty fantastic. I actually experienced more issues with my time on the 360 than I have with my PS3. It is ten times worse with new releases though, the 360 servers were overloaded for several weeks on L4D2 after it got released because of the sheer amount of people playing it online. The PS3 store also has more than enough content. The 360 thrives on all the arcade games and such (many of which are pretty awful), along with a bunch of original Xbox games (considering the original Xbox had a pretty poor game selection through its life time, well, yeah). The DLC is pretty good at least, they usually release a lot of map packs and such on their more popular games, and at least one on nearly every game that is a shooter with multiplayer. There are good Xbox games, there are good arcade games, it is just that most of it is just there to be there to maybe catch those five or six fans who want the game on their 360.
At least 360 has L4D2. XD I kid though. Most arcade games in the past year have been amazing (I've played around 30 good arcade games), where as PS3 only has a few good ones (The good ones being the multi-platform ones, or ones ported from 360), the exclusive ones have all been crap, and then they stopped adding Xbox Originals for Download, now you can get on demand 360 games. And then from my PS3 experience, they don't have near as much downloadable stuff (Videos, demos, et cetera). And then the other problem I have with PS3 is the lack of good mics. I absolutely hate the wireless mics, I got one of their $40 ones, and it was a piece of garbage that fits on your ear! The 360 mics can just be any old $10 mic (Which work just as good).
My blue-tooth mic works fine. There are usb mics though for the PS3 that just hook into the top of the controller if I'm not mistaken. More of the arcade games I've enjoyed though, I can either get on a computer, other system, or just enjoyed it while I could but didn't want to spend money on it. For videos, I don't use my PS3 for videos, so not really big for me. Demos are so big on the PS3, it almost isn't worth it in its self to grab them. Although the on demand 360 games are nice, you have to have the hard drive space to support it (which most won't, especially ones who bought any bundles really before the elite). I still love the 360, it is a fantastic system, I just also really love the PS3 I actually own.
I need to get one of those mics. One thing about 360 is that it's faster in terms of online. If a PS3 game has an update, it takes like 5 minutes, 360 it takes 5 seconds. Same for system updates, but PS3 takes like 15-30 minutes. But the main thing is downloads, on my 360 I can download a game that's about 1.5 gigs in less than a half an hour, but on PS3 it takes an hour and a half, plus it has to install.
The install only takes 30 seconds, but the download time is pretty ridiculous. I couldn't believe it took the better part of an hour and a half to download Metal Gear Solid (PSX, about 738mb or so).
