Alright, I just got an AK2i, and I put my microSD directly into it and booted the DS. First thing that happened is that I clicked the AK2i button and it went to loading. Is it really supposed to take long because nothing happened afterwards.

You put all of the stuff from the download, After you unpack it, on the root directory.

Oh I see I'm supposed to put AKAIO 1.6RC before booting it up? Alright. I'll format first just in case.

Oh, and any files that were used by the R4 like YSMENU and it's stuff like skins and folders aren't needed anymore right? Can I just delete them.

    Yes you are supposed to.

Also, update your loaders. - http://akaio.gbatemp.net/nloaders/index.html

Unzip it, then put the AK2 loader.nds into your /_aio/loaders folder.

Ok, formatted the card, I put everything in the 9932-AKAIO.1.6RC1 onto the root, and I put ak2loader.nds into the root. Where do I go from there?

    I'm using DSLite btw

    Oh my... ::)

You have to put the akmenu.nds file on the root and the firmware folder.

Nothing else should be there except other folders for games and the such.

The loader needs to go into the /_aio/loaders folder...

Well, opening up the _aio folder and checking loaders, there was already an ak2loader.nds and akloader.nds there. Is that supposed to be right?

Right no on the root there's the _aio folder, akmenu4.nds, LoaderChangelog, readme_AKAIO and ak2loader.nds. Anything that shouldn't be there?

    Yeah.

Delete those and put in the new one.

It is the updated version of the ak2loader.nds.

Ok, I just replaced the nds file. Should Akloader.nds be deleted as well?

Ok, done. Now what's on the root is the _aio folder, akmenu4.nds, LoaderChangelog, readme_AKAIO and ak2loader.nds. And the _aio folder is untouched except for the replacement ak2loader.nds and deleted akloader.nds. Anything else that should be there, or shouldn't be there?

Thinking of putting my games now. Is it recommended that I make a separate games folder for better organization?

Also, I've been hearing that somehow previous save files have trouble with an AK2i. If my save files are .sav there shouldn't be a problem?

    Ok.

This is what should be on your AK2i Micro SD card root.

I have highlighted the files/folders that you need to have.
You don't have to have an NDS folder, but it's recommended that you do.

Here is what should be in your _aio folder.

And what should be in your loaders folder.

Alright thanks I did just that. Working perfectly now, and I renamed my SAV files to .sav so all can be read. Thanks a bunch again.
