Just bought an acekard2i. I have a few questions.

As for my questions:

1. What do I need to put in the SD card in order for games to work?
2. Will games that don't work for the R4 work on the acekard2i without a patch?
3. Does the acekard2i support SD card sizes that are bigger than 2 gig?
4. What else do I need to know before I get started?
5. How's dealextreme when it comes to shipping and refunds? You know, just in case there's a problem with the card.

How "sucky" are we talking here? Like a month before I get my card, or something like that?

Also, is there a tutorial available where I can see how to install the firmware and loaders into my sd card?

Just download the .rar file.

Unrar it.

Place the contents onto your Micro SD card.

Unzip the loaders file.

Put it into the /_aio/loaders folder.

Ensure that on the root of your Micro SD card is the akmenu.nds (or something close ) and a folder with a LOT of stuff in it.

i mean deal extreme has some cheap stuff im pretty sure the quality is crappy but i can live with that?? do you think they'll accpet visa gift cards?

You can get one from http://realhotstuff.com/ it's not as cheap, but they're shipping is WAY faster than DX.

A lot faster than DealExtreme I can tell you that much.

 

DealExtreme is good.
for me it took about 2 or 3 days for them to actually ship when i bought it, and it took 2 weeks to get to me.
for my friend though it took 2 months.

Deal Extreme is the best Flash Cart/accessories selling site I've dealt with (I've bought numerous cards for friends/family). Their refund doesn't suck any more than others, basically you have to pay shipping but that's it. Many other places won't even bother giving you a refund and pretend they never got your item (sometimes even if you had tracking on the returned item).

I got my Acekard2i from http://www.consolesource.com/ecomm/catalog/AceKard-orderby0-p-1-c-302.html and the shipping was fairly quick. So far we haven't had a problem with any of the Acekards (I bought some for friends too). Honestly, I wasn't sure what was a safe place to purchase the Acekard from.
