Hello everyone, thought I ask a question about the most annoying music player for pc... Okay I just downloaded some songs from disturbed-indestrucible (using torrents-meh) and out of the songs-1 didn't get transferred to the librarey! I don't see any reason why it wouldn't go-it was the same format as the other tracks in the selection... I will give details about this one song that refuses to get transferred... Format-MP3 Bit rate- 320 kps Size-8.07 mb Length-0.3.31 This file works on windows media player and nokia music manager, itunes is the defualt player, files from same album all have same format and bit rate only differance between them is it was missing album art work upon opening (and it actually SOUNDS better than it's sister files) and the comments section had credit to the original owner as opposed to a bunch of numbers... Finally itunes is fully updated, I'm not giving details about my ipod since the song refuses to go into the library when I first used "select folder" and "select file"! How do i get this awsome but stubborn song onto itunes? Also my less important question.... Is it safe to use torrents, i use bit torrent, main site is mini nova, since I heard about the anti piracy tatics (fake torrents, etc) and of course the ip adress showing... I know of other programs and other peer to peer programs, but am skeptic of how safe they are (lime wire has crap results for my taste anyways).
bittorrent is the safest form of P2P. I suggest you check the ID3 tags on the MP3, if any of them are malformed it could be screwing itunes up. Also, do you know for sure that Itunes supports that bitrate (is it constant bitrate or variable?)
well like I said before, it was the same as the previous songs in format, but the id tags might be a try... But how do you check those? I had this problem before but can't remember how I fixed it, all I know was it was completly unessacary to do in the first place... Plus I wouldn't be sure if it's varible rate or constant... (I hate itunes-only happens when I use stuff not from it's own shop!) Could converting it to acc or mp4 help (and if nessacary what program can I use since itunes is what I've been using in the past)?
...I used one called mp3 tag editor...I can't tell if anything is wrong, so I just did something and it's name got changed, still recognise it...still plays in all other programs... And still no progress... Just incase there might be something I didn't explain correctly (since I do that a fair bit)-every time I try to add this to itunes it won't show in the library-and itunes doesn't tell me if anything has gone wrong...and yes no file changes or anything if I put it in a folder with other songs all of those songs will be added EXCEPT this one song. It plays fine in all other programs... Dam it, I hate itunes, it even adds movies that I ask it too, seems nice, and then when I sync it it says for some reason it can't be sent to my ipod even though it's in it's correct format, meaning I have to convert it not once, but 3 times! (first downloaded in avi, then again, then another time, this is just an example...) Is there anything else I could try or should I try another id tag program, this one took an hour to download thanks to my crap speed! (9 mb-yep that slow) ...sorry, song is fustrating me....
...never mind, I uninstalled that last one and used "wavepad" instead! Worked a charm once I found the best format to convert it too! You guys were right about the file and what was wrong with it, or close enough (it might have been the "header", which I'm not sure if that's the same term as id tags...) so thanks anyways-funny enough I found help from an outdated topic from another forum (I gotta use google more often!) Thanks anyways!
