It's out!! My braces.

Wow, nothing is more soothing then that This Thing goes out.
And, yes, it was only an hour ago that it went out after coming in 15 months ago.
The result is very promising.

Anyway, just felt like you guys should know.

 

what does that thing do? hold your teeth in place?

But in case you really don't know: it moves your teeth in such a way they line up.

 

I'm glad that i haven't had any for little over 2 years

congrats on getting them out, i get my braces out this summer, but after graduation...

 

My younger brother used to have braces only on his front two teeth. Now all his teeth are perfect. Mine are as crooked as an old lady.

I have two powerchains on my braces. Top left and top right.

 

powerchains are? those things that go outside your mouth?

 

DARN I still have mine :'(

But I might take them out in like a year. I got them August 2007

Powerchains are those rubber chain-like things that go over your wire, linking several together and making the pull stronger.



This picture from Wikipedia shows the application of a powerchain. See how it pulls harder on the brackets that they are connected to.

 

I had my braces for like 4 years. I'm sure a while of that was because I didn't go to an appointment for 6 months.

 

Ohw those powerchains, must have been awkward feeling when they went out, lot of less pull power xD

Oh darn, I felt bad that I would have mine for like 2 years when most of my friends were taking their braces out in like less than a year

 

15 months is average, at least that is what i was told

never had braces, because i bite dentists...

but i do wear glasses - because i don't have heat vision to keep opticians away. i remember choosing a pair of glasses i realised i hated, so i left them in a bin and claimed i lost them. but then the bin man came around and found them, and my mum made me wear them again.

so i lost them again.

lucky they wern't braces
