iTouchDS Query

    Hey all - my old man purchased an Itouchds flashcart and doesn't seem to be able to play mp3's. Does anyone know if moonshell comes with the latest firmware (as it did when i got my M3Real) or needs to be installed seperately? Ive searched online a little bit but cant locate the latest firmware version, or what seems reliable info on moonshell for this card .. not even on the 'official' itouchds site. Anyone able to help?

    You probably have to put Moonshell on seperately.

    Got it. Now ... does one simply download & copy that .exe file to the Micro SD and it will launch itself ... or does it need be executed via a PC and "installed" on the Micro SD?

    The second one. The DS can't run .exes so you run it on your PC with your MicroSD plugged in. It'll ask you which one is your MicroSD, tell it and it'll install it for you.

    Put everything the .exe generated in root folder on SD card - no joy; in itouch folder - no joy; in Music folder - no joy.
    All else fails, read the instructions, right? Wrong! "Readme" file simply says copy only [a folder and a .nds ] parts into root - tried that, no joy.
    Anyone??

    I think each of these applies to different flashcarts. Anyone know which one appllie to the iTouchDS?

    * _BOOT_MP.nds
    * _BOOT_MP_SC.nds
    * _BOOT_MP_SmallM3SD.nds

    Where did you get all those .nds files from?

    The moonshell app? Running iTouchDs firmware v3.7d. is it an issue the SD card is formatted as FAT 32? maybe directions from the get go will help?

    Right, lets start from he top. You need to download this file http://home.att.ne.jp/blue/moonlight/201001011402_moonshell209stable.exe
    Then run it and it'll extract to a folder on your PC (you can choose where). Then you plug in your MicroSD card and run the "set up.exe" file that's in the folder. It'll ask you to choose a drive to install moonshell to. Choose your MicroSD card and it'll install it for you.
