Well technically the two are totally different emulators so it should be no surprise to you that save data from one would not work with the other.

Even with VBA-M & VBA (the original build) you can not use save states to & from the other.

As for what you should or could do, why not look for a Save file over at GameFAQs?

If you're too lazy to do so, I've did the job for you....

There is a converter google nocashgba to vba. (It may only work the other way around).
Alternatively, save a snapshot on nocash and then rename that to VBA's save state name.

*facepalm*, i am having issues with that program, it's called no$gba to VBA, and no carlos i'd rather start from 0 than use a save file i will try what Onyx suggested me, but read the OP the app is called no$gba to VBA, it makes a no$gba file to VBA format, oddly it is not working for me.

Yeah I never had any luck with it myself, but I know people who have...they say.
I got a save state to work one time from a snapshot....

i probably will end having to search no$gba 2.5 and VBA 1.7.2 since according to the readme those were the title, also i am using VBA 1.8.0 and No$ 2.6a

That version's ancient by now :p

You should move on up to VBA-M:

Can't get the codes to work or don't know how to put them in?

in a sense both, i know that i need to press F2 and then open new cheat and pase and select, the issue is that if chose gameshark V1/V2 while i paste this:
    F9FB2F129F04
    04C186C4D382

which is GS code i get a a sound that it's an invalid code, it works on VBA and it only allows me to input it a CB and i get an ? box.
