My downloads were running fine until this afternoon. All of a sudden no files will download. Opening any download link will result in an error opening the page (manual downloads). In IDM, they will not start at all It times out with this message: Cannot download the file because of timeout. Details: Cannot connect to us4.romulation.net:80 It has been running fine, like I said, until today. I'm having no problem at all pulling files from other sites. Any help will be greatly appreciated, Jim. Edit: None of the psp links are working period. Every one of them time out. Is there server maintenance occurring?
no, sounds like its on your end. Have you been downloading any "illegal" files lately cause if you have your isp will put a stimp on your downloading situation. If you havent, could be a problem with their servers and you should contact them to find out why you having trouble. And last it could be that you have used up your maximum data for your month and cant download anymore(yes this does happen).
I'm only having an issue with psp. I have downloaded a couple ps2 and they work fine. Any psp files from here time out. My ISP will send me an email if they have an issue. Also that only ever happened with torrents and I use a VPN for that now so it doesn't happen anymore. Wonder how I can fix this then? Edit: I checked my firewall and called my ISP. It's not on my side. They suggested checking to see if the server is blocking my IP. They said some sites will block an IP if the download manager pounds the server with too many download requests? I have lowered the downloads to one file simultaneously thinking that might have been the problem. Could you guys please check that for me? I thought paying for premium would have prevented anything like this from happening. I only had it allowing 2 simultaneous downloads because any more than that lagged my laptop to a crawl, heh. Anyway, any help will be appreciated. Thanks, Jim.
premium accounts are allowed up to 20 simultaneous connections, and there is no ip blocking on the server. Please post a traceroute to us4.romulation.net open a command prompt window, and type 'tracert us4.romulation.net > c:\trace.txt' when the prompt re-appears, find the 'trace.txt' file in c: and paste the contents here.
I will run the traceroute for you. I double checked my firewall and made sure IDM was added to my exception list. If I turn my VPN on, I have no problem It runs and downloads fine. Edit: Here are the results of the traceroute. I ran it with my vpn running too and alot of the times were 1/3 of what these are.
