I installed Bioshock on my PC today, but everytime I launch it, it goes until the 2K Boston/Australia logo before crashing back to the desktop.

    System Specs are:
    Windows XP home SP2
    AMD Athlon Processor 3000+, 2.06GHZ
    1GB Ram
NVIDIA GeForce FX 5900 Ultra Video card 256MB
    DirectX 9.0c

I would guess your specs are too low, otherwise it could be a bug, update your drivers and check the game's official site for patches.

Well it's apparently a widespread problem... the drivers are all up to date, and I'm well within the system requirements for this game

The game must be weaker than I thought-my video card eat's yours so I'm suprised.

Maybe there is a patch for it to correct it.

Try your luck there, this is where I get my patches.

When I had problems with Bioshock (when it first came out), I got help here:
