Hello, I recently started on Pokemon Sapphire, and for the most part things were going well. However, upon reaching Granite Cave, I experienced problems accessing one area. When I go down one of the ladders, my little dude falls all the way to the bottom room. Upon navigating to another ladder in that room, I would go up, but then fall back down to that same room. The only ways I found to get out of that cave was to use an escape rope or white out. Upon investigation in several walkthroughs, I thought there might be something wrong with the ROM. When I did a quick runthrough on Ruby, I experienced the same problems in Granite Cave. Since other people managed to get past Granite in their emulated games, I've come to the conclusion that it must be the emulator. I'm currently using the RascalBoy Advance emulator.

When I tried opening the game in other emulators (VBA and no$gba), I found I needed to restart the game since the SAV files weren't compatible.

So is there any way to convert the SAV files to work for different emulators, or I'll just have to take it like a man and restart my game?

    Thanks

Check for an export feature in RascalBoy, I know VBA has an import feature where you can import various formats.

Also please note that you have to save the save type to 128kb flash otherwise your save game will be corrupted once you beat the elite 4.

RascalBoy doesn't have any import/export features that I've found, and importing to the VBA doesn't change anything - I'm still left with the "start new game" option.

I couldn't find any save game converter on Google. =/

Well I did manage to dig up something on no$gba -> VBA conversion, if anyone is interested: http://www.angelfire.com/games6/battery/

But so far nothing else. I'll look around some more.

EDIT: By the way, I found that the save files for the RascalBoy are .srm extensions and not .sav like no$gba and VBA.

Ah looks like there's nothing for srm -> sav conversion so far. Oh well, at least I'm not too far into the game, so I guess I might as well restart it. Thanks for your help, Seph. :)
