Hello. Im new to this site. I recently downloaded some wii files that saved as .iso but the N64, Sega, NES & SNES files are a whole other format. Any help?

Of cause they're of different format from the Wii. .Iso and .Bin are common on Wii, PSX, PS2, PSP, and a few others. Those originally from cartridges don't go by that format.

It says that they are supposed to be ISO files when I download them. How would I play these games on the wii?

Wii games, yes it will be either ISO or BIN. All the rest that you mentioned aren't. Especially not those Sega, NES, SNES, etc. To play on your Wii for everything other than the Wii games, you need emulator for those different systems. To have one on your Wii, you need to a modded Wii. Else play them on your computer.

ISO files are images of disc based media. Cartridge dumps are collectively termed ROMs and the file format will vary according to the system that the ROM images are for. z64 is an N64 specific format, SMC is SNES and .MD I guess is megadrive. The Wii cannot play these files without 3rd party software called an emulator.

Thank you both. I just downloaded an emulator. I appreciate all the info.
