is this fair? (dealing with my computer issue topic)

and well, i have figured out whats wrong but the person is turning around and saying that im the one who caused it to be like that, and well i told them about it and told them that when i took it apart it was like that and they are trying to make me get them a new laptop because of it, is this a fair turn-around, since im not the one who screwed their laptop up?

 

if it didn't work before then what are they missing or lost?

 

If it didn't work when they gave it to you, then they have absolutely no case whatsoever against you.

If it's fixed, just give it back to the person and don't bother helping them ever again. He/she sounds like the sort that likes to screw people over.

 

well, thats what i did, tried to fix it but the laptop didnt work before i got it, so all i did was tried to another HDD for it and when that didnt resolve it, i put the old HDD back in it and gave it back and that is when this started.

i told them i didn't want to hear from them again to fix anything of theirs >__>
