Try going to romulation.net, or download a ROM. The layout/Site design has changed. I hope this isn't permanent. Please NO. I sure as hell hope this isn't just me.
It's just started to update...we'll just wait and see... and you're not the only one having this problem
Was actually a mistake, it's not ready yet, but yes, that will be the new layout, so those of you who saw it, congrats. If you don't like it, well too bad.
Wow, it reverted back... the main site did... EDIT: It was cool for me...the links are the only problems I've encountered so far..
@Seph, I think it looks good, I'm not overly fond of the little graphic with the two people, but all in all very nice.
I like the new look actually. It's sorta barren compared to the present iteneration, but that's just nitpicking. Kudos for the site design, how long did it take for that version to be the final one you decided to stick with?
I'm not sure what you mean by noob friendly? As I said it shouldn't have been updated yet because it's not done, like the download links aren't working or anything. But if anything it should be more noob friendly than before. We actually went for that effect, the very clean and stylish look over the busy one. The amount of graphics has been cut down severely, scripts has been cut down a bit as well so load and render time should be very fast as well. I don't know who long it took really, the designer handled most of it, I never really questioned the overall style of the page but was more concerned about the details.
I got a glimps of it, it was much eaisier and quicker navigation wise, I didn't see the actual downloads page as I didn't browse for long. (I thought it was taking place now ) will it look much different? It looked like a massive rom database.
The new version doesn't "assault your senses" when you enter. So on that level it is quite easy on the eyes. I just got used to the old style, so being an old timer now , when something changes I get cynical about it. But like new dentures you just gotta bite down and hope they stay. Thanks for evolving the site and not getting pigeon holed in the old ways.
It won't look any different at all, it's the details that's lacking, few graphics changes, making sure stuff can be downloaded and such. The largest section that's still lacking is the admin features, none of that is styled yet so the warning, deleting and edit stuff of comments isn't in yet - obviously an important thing before we launch it.
