Is there a way to clone pokemon?

With Platinum. I don't want an AR, OR the GTS one, which I KNOW doesn't work. I also don't want anything about trading. Thanks.

 

i dont know if it still works but,

you put the Pokemon (you want to clone) in the pc

you then pick it up and move it to a new box

as its transferring you switch off your game

you should have 2 off that Pokemon now

 

they fixed that when they made Pokemon Crystal.....

the only way I know of doing this would either be through using pokesav to edit your save file, or using an AR code

if you have pokemon emerald then you CAN do it, i have done it successfully many times and then transferred the pokemon to platinum/diamond/pearl. obv this would be a huge waste of time if you were using the .rom version of the game as apose to buying from a shop.

in emerald:
1) put pokemon in pc
2) move to new box
3) take out and go to battletower lobby
4) talk to one of people at desks
5) wait until they say "do you wish to save?"
6) click no then quickly turn off game.
7) find 2 of same pokemon in boxes.

note: this can go wrong and overwrite a pokemon that is kept in the same space e.g box1 space so make sure you keep all pokemon that you are not going to clone out of that space in all boxes. i know this because i lost my regirock and had to trade from ruby to get another one to clone to put onto pearl to get regigigas.

 

To gameslayers:

I know what the Emerald thing is. What I want to know is how to clone the Pokemon in Platinum ITSELF, because I caught the Pokemon in Platinum.

 

Update your cheats. With the AR cheats you can clone pokemon by holding select and moving them. This definately works for me.

 

...Except I said WITHOUT AR. I don't have one and don't want to pay for it.

 

i think in platin there is no way to clone.
there is only a way for DP but its takes
much time to do it. if you want to know

Not sure about the current 2 games, but from the last few games in the ds pokemon series it's ethier the GTS method (it does work-but exact timing and knoledge of your router is required) or AR/flash cart cheat option.


I'd doubt that let people clone again in the current games, they would have worked hard to make sure that doesn't happen :

...and use it on another flash cart/emulator...but wouldn't that conflict with the trainer id's and stuff?

And yes, it will work with retail cards, simply press and hold a/b/x/y/start/select at the Load Save button screen, eject the flashcard, and put in platinum. Of course if you're using a ROM version of Platinum then you can just load the save directly (Sometimes you need to click Show all on the save selection screen to find the right save).

in emerald what i do is...
1)take the pokemon you want put it in the pc in any box
2)close the pc and save
3)take out the pokemon from the pc
4)go to the desk lady and when you save say yes and in the middle of saving turn off the game
5) turn it back on then youll duplicate em

 

The easiest way to do it is via Pokesav.
All you have to do is Save it (while in storage), and Load it on a new slot in storage.

Done.
