Is there a real Mah Jong game on the DS in english? I'm not talking about where you match pairs, I'm talking about where you play against 3 other players, the Hong Kong way.
I found one in Japanese and I don't read Japanese.

Now that I think about it...it wouldn't be popular in western or "english" speaking cultures..hence why games like these aren't sold too often-or at all.

We have a few "buget" titles...like $5AUD XD

Usually mixed in with other cheap games.

Not on the main consoles...no money for that-just pc if lucky.

Yeah the marketing department of games do survey's and lots of research to see what the profits will be like when expanding to a new region.. If the estimate doesn't reach a certain percentage of profit, or a quota if you like, then it doesn't get sold there. Sucks for all those new games that look pretty damn sweet which are only in Japanese.

As yes, profit means everything these days..

But once you have the software set up, it doesn't take much to add a new language right? Not like you have to rewrite a new game.

My ideal game would be to have this version in english, and then play against my two kids on their DS.

Trust me, you don't want to play with me. I only know the basics. I'm very slow, I don't know how to count, don't know which are specials, how to combine to maximize points, etc. I figured if we all play together, we can all learn at the same time. Kids grandparents play all the time, for money of course, and they are fast fast fast.
