changes a cso file to a pbp file? my psp for some reason wont run like any csos including homebrew csos but it always runs pbp files
Wow... I'm sorry but this is by far the most misinformed post I've seen in a while. PBP files are not ISO's or CSO's, they are not game images of any kind, they are infact PSP specific applications, much like EXE's on Windows based computers. They are also known as "EBoots". The only way to run an Eboot is to first name it "EBOOT.PBP". Next place said Eboot in a Folder, if it is a 1.00 or 2.00+ eboot it will generally work if you just copy that folder into the /PSP/GAME/ , /PSP/GAME150/ or /PSP/GAME352/. If that program/game is K-xploited it will actually have two .PBP eboots spread over 2 seperate folders that are both required to be in /PSP/GAME150 to run. Other PSP programs like custom firmware installers require you to name PBP files as other names such as 352.PBP, but this is mainly because the Eboot.pbp file thats also in the installation folder actually contains the installer, and needs to access them to function. Now, this is seriously basic PSP homebrew info. I'm kinda wondering how you where able to even get Custom Firmware installed without understanding these basic concepts. But w/e, I digress, You know now. Enjoy -Timboman20000 Found that, dunno if it helps...
Worth a shot? I can't say I have tested, honestly. I do know that if this does not work, someone somewhere will have what you need most likely. I will keep looking. 1. Star- Folder options 2.Folder options, view 3. Uncheck 'hide file extensions' 4.Download any iso or .cso file 5.Download the game directly to PSP/GAME/GAME NAME 6.Rename to eboot.pbp 7.Put in a folder with the same name as the game. That was from youtube.
If you have problems running CSO files, you just need to decompress it to a ISO, and run that. You'll want to use UMDGEN, it can compress and decompress your ISO files for you.
Just so you know the first post was a quote from somewhere else. I wouldn't say anything snippy like it did. You are wanting to play a computer downloaded game on your psp, right? Or is it vice-versa?
a psp game that i downloaded off the the computer on to my psp(i do beleive it was a homebrew but due to being too good it was bought by sony) (also the game is called No Gravity - The Plague Of Mind)
Well, I have never tested out the instructions...I just went looking around. My expertise is in PSX/PS2 emulation...and even there I am just a trainee to my older brother. ..if you need me to kieep looking I can. (free time I have lots)
i tested out the insturions for torrent but didnt work but i found a cso of it off google now to find that Parasite Eve 1 Download
This has to be the most direct answer here. However, as I had recently, if the cso doesnt uncompress someone has messed with the file, making it uncompressable, and only certain firmware's will run it. Wait what!? Parasite eve 1 is a ps1(psx) game, is it not? If that is in cso it certainly wont run, it needs to be coverted to an eboot file, and it will 100% NOT RUN as an iso. ...Im hoping trithRR or someone else still in the scene remembers the name, but once made, place the file IN THE FOLDER ithat's made with it, into the game folder on the psp.
I know I've shown you the programs required to make Eboot files on a couple occasions. PSX2PSP will do it for you easily. It accepts most disc image types. ISO/IMG/BIN, etc. CSO/ISO images of PSP games don't need to be eboot files. Eboots are for various homebrew programs/updates and for PSOne games. Like Onyx said earlier, .pbp files are basically the ".exe" of the PSP. I guess the better question is "What CSO are you trying to play, and why do you think you need to convert it to an Eboot file?"
all cso files because i keep getting error messages that i used to not get earlier and homebrew or psx never give me any problems
