Is reviving threads bad?

For example, if I revive an topic no one posted in for 3 months? Is it better to leave a topic to die or to continue posting?
    Just curious.

    It is bad.
There is almost never a reason to revive an old thread.

If you are trying to reply to an old thread, it will even tell you:

Then how come people keep reviving The Game thread??

Threads that haven't been replied to in months are the issue, not active threads that are months old.

The Game is an important exception. It cannot die. It will always be there... waiting for someone to revive it.

A note on this, if you have something new and substantial to add then it's better to revive than start a new thread. But don't do it just to say "I agree" or similar.

Most forums I see see this as bad-no matter if it's actually something good or not.

I seen a few good revived threads get locked-and the last replies are indeed meaningful and worth the effort to revive.

Prehaps we should spread the word people-if it's meaningful and worth while-BRING BACK THE DEAD IS COOL!

If not...I'l leave that to your discreation.
