Is reality confined to what is in principle perceptible to the senses?

I suppose the answer would be another question, If a tree falls in a forest, and no one's there, does it make a sound?

However I feel this question and it's answer will change with time.

Why? Well because we invent technology to make things we cannot interact with, detectable by the senses. Something as simplex a man looking through a microscope proves this, does it not?

Although Cannabis was intended for use as a psychoactive drug, which is something I could benefit from at present, the detrimental effects would not be in my best interest.
