Are you sure there isn't a cap on the reader, that you need to open?

i doubt it, i try to yank it out as hard as possible
i even tried to stick a knife in the part where you can insert the lanyard, tried to yank it out and nothing.
i even knifed the part where the Micro Sd card is "suppose" to go
its rock solid back there....might be some counterfeit

trust me its as crazy as it sounds.

Even good flashcarts come with very cheaply build readers.
My MicroSD reader that came with my CycloDS never worked. Windows always fails to install the drivers correctly.

I went to Wal-mart and bought a cheap MicroSD reader.

just pull the cap off the end that doesn't have the hole thingy part on it. doesn't it come off? yeah...if it doesn't you'll need a new one......the ones that come with the r4's are crap anyways....my ez vi's micro sd card reader is so cheaply made, but it's lasted for 10 months now!!

turns out the micro sd card intro thing was melted
my dad broke the case of the reader so i could use it
i wondered why the package was warm when i got it

I have the exact same sd reader and what I would do is I would put a small piece of tape around my sd chip. So i can easily take the chip out the flashdrive.

I got a quick idea that might help...

Try taking a pic of the actual card (the one you have as of NOW) and upload to phtobucket then send it here-all sides.

That way prehaps we can spot something you didn't see :)
