Is my PC not good enough to run World Of Warcraft?

I installed WoW on a PC that my dad gave me, but the gameplay is very choppy when I play it in fullscreen and set on the lowest settings. It plays flawlessly in windowed mode with medium-high settings however. When it's in fullscreen, it says I am getting around 30-50 FPS, but it looks like I am only getting maybe 5-10 FPS

    here's my specs:
    Dell Optiplex GX260
    Intel P4 3.06GHZ
    1GB RAM
    Windows XP Home
Nvidia Geforce2 MX 64MB video card (primary)
ATI Radeon 7500 32MB video card (secondary)
    DirectX 9.0c
Turtle Beach Snata Cruz sound card

I think the problem may be the video card, but I can play games like NFS Most wanted on the highest settings without a problem (on the Nvidia card). I have updated all my drivers, and even the PC bios. Also, I am playing it from a secondary HDD, if that makes any difference.

Right click on your desktop and go to NVIDA Control Panel, if a menu opens up that is not the normal menu, select "Advanced User", then click Ok.

In there are a list of menu's and sub-menu's
    Set the following
Location: 3D Settings / Adjust image settings with preview
-Set to "Use my preference emphasizing:" - Set this to "Performance".

There are more settings you can change to raise the performance of your WoW. Lowering graphics in game and as well as changing other settings in your NVIDA Control Panel. Mine keeps acting up currently... so I can't list them at this moment... But that one part I did list should help quite a bit.

Playing from another hard drive shouldn't effect anything more than loading maps. Unless the access times are slower than normal.

it could also be caused by a lack of ram, since full screen is another process, and the game is a different one...but your gfx cards are fine...

more ram and better graphics card and it will run fine. Make sure you've got at least 30GB space for it.

it's currently the only thing on an 80GB drive, but it ran fine on my old PC that had only 512MB of ram.
I am in the process of finding a new video card for this PC anyway, so I guess it gives me more reason to...

    anything you would recommend?
I don't want to spend too much more than $50-$75 on a new card since money is a little tight for me.
and maybe something that could possibly run Borderlands? My PC can either use PCI and/or AGP 4X/2X cards, no PCI express

    edit:
I was thinking maybe this card, which would enable me to buy more ram as well

If you want a new graphics card you are probably going to want to try to order it from newegg.com or tigerdirect.com. Most stores are no longer carrying AGP or PCI cards now and they are very hard to come by. Also make sure to check to see if your power supply can support and handle the graphics card you decide on. Typical suggested power supply wattage for AGP and PCI cards is 300w minimum. Having been an employee for Best buy the last three years I know places like that will no longer have it. Average cost will be around 70 ish depending on the card, just keep in mind since the card is an older style there is a chance they maybe a tad higher.

AGP is better than PCI, but you're going to be hard pressed to find AGP 4x cards since it was superceeded by AGP 8x (they arent backwards compatible). You're probably best off sticking with the card you linked even though its PCI.

    Okay, thanks loony.
I was looking on newegg, and all the AGP4X cards they had really sucked. that was the best PCI I could find

Okay so Binahu's post about the Nvidia control panel worked. I can now play it in full screen with medium quality at an average of 25-35 FPS.
I still am going to buy a new video card though, the one I have doesn't support pixel shading and such...

Yeah, it's not bad for a PC built in 2003.

    Update:
I just ordered the card I posted, it should be here on either tuesday or wednesday, I'll let you guys know how it turns out
