Well, it's time to face reality.

Will you have a steady job, a good wage-rate/salary income?

Will you be able to afford an apartment, food, water, clothes, a car, gas, etc.?

Will there be times when you're lonely and no one is around?

    I didn't move out. :p

The benefits of bumming at home while at college are too high not to.

As long as you can take care of yourself it's fine I think.

I need to move out from my original home since my college is pretty far away.

Dont move out stay with your parents a little bit more until you have your own house a good paying job and stuff like that, but one of these days you have to move out right , but remember when you do move out your parents will not be there to buy your stuff or take care of you you are on your own

when my sister turned 18, she moved out with her 21 year-old boyfriend and currently lives with him at his parents house... She's expecting a baby in July. :p

But as long as you can manage yourself I don't see why not.

I felt the same way when I was <18. I planned to move out the moment I turned 18 but things change, you grow up, then you realize you have mad responsibilities and your minimum wage job isn't enough to put anything but ramen on the table or pay the water/gas/electric/rent/phone bills. If you get a high paying job, can pay for your own college, have a decent low rent apartment/someone else to live with then go for it. If not, I suggest you start saving now so you can do this later. Its gonna be a lot of work unless you strike it rich or get lucky in some other way.

Depends on how well you can support yourself or get support.

The question you should also ask, is "Is it wrong to move out when you turn 18??"

I'm 24 and still living with my parents. Not by choice; I'm unemployed, there arent any jobs going, and with the state of the economy as it is (particularly with regards to property prices and utility prices), I can't afford to do anything other than live with my parents.

Unemployment sucks. I've technically been unemployed since last august. My boss closed down the store I worked in and never paid me my last paycheck. Just shut it down without telling anyone -_-
I've been looking for work / applying since and nothing. Filled my time with going back to school full time for certification. Hoping to move to another state in June since I know people high up in companies there and that'll help with employment.

Anyway. Goodluck to OP if you're gonna move out at 18. Doubt you'll get that to work for long though without resources.

I'm also 24, living on my own. It's quite fun, all the freedom. Can do what you want, whenever you want. The only thing is all the extra responsibility. Like keeping everything clean and making food for yourself. The worst is sometimes you get lonely, and you always have financial concerns... But yeah that's life, it's worth it.

I had no choice, after a punchup I got turfed out at 19.I had to pay rent, council tax and ran a car. After a couple of years I had to pay maintainance for a kid I never saw-and I just finished off paying that last year.

Mind you,I had some right swinging parties when I got my 1st place 23 years ago LOL
