I was just wondering, because I have heard of some versions working better on my flashcart. Less freezes, better patches etc.

Yes Most definitely- just rename the saved file to exactly that of the other ds game

Do I just have to rename the name of the save to the same name as the rom? Like for example, Pokemon.nds and pokemon.sav?

I REALY WANT TO COMMENT ON THIS

YES all you have to do is RENAME the ROM SAV FILE

but do you know WHATS COOLER THEN THAT
    Spasificly The Pokemon GAMES

    there the SAME

HEART GOLD AND SOUL SILVER are the same game

    accseptions being the

    INTRO

THE Legendary pokemon at the end of the game

    but what is cool

is that you can PLAY say

    SOUL SILVER

    beat the GAME

    Catch the Version Exclusive pokemon

then Take the Save FILE rename it to the other VERSION

    (you need both ROMS THO)

and all the OTHER VERSIONS EXCLUSIVE POKEMON WILL BE THERE

(dont think the Legendarys will be there)

but i know the Wild ones will be

THIS IS A COOL little TRICK
i learned from playing Fire red Leaf green

    Went and started Fire red

    Caught Arbok

then change the save file name

then caught Sandslash (a LEAF GREEN exlusive (or its the other way around ) you get my point)

then i changed it back to the original name
    and its fine

Normally I'd say no, my (E) saves on games don't work on my (U) games, something in the programming...

I would advise (because I don't swap E with U often on ds-I know this is the case with ps2, ps1 and gamecube games) to just TRY it and post back results (for those asking).
