Is it possible to replace the rom on a commercial cartridge?

    Is it possible to replace the rom on a commercial cartridge? I know it's possible to replace the save file on one using a program like the NDS Backup Tool, but is it possible to replace the rom?

    yes if you open the cartridge, desolder the rom chip and replace it with a different one. ROM = read only memory.
