Is it possible to play..??

    Sorry if this is a stupid question :p

    so far my Psp can play PsX iso, cAn play NdS anD Gba
    Is it possible to play PS2 game/iso(maybe) on psp??

    Is it possible to play PSX/PS2 game on PS3??
    if it can, how to play it?? ::)

    im a bit confuse of this sitE..

    Not to my knowledge

    Originals, yes, put the disc in. copies/backups, no.

    It depends on which PS3 you have, the 60GB one has fantastic backwards compatibility, meaning it can play PS2 (not sure about PSX) games perfectly, since it relies on hardware to play games of previous consoles. The other versions rely on software to play PS2/PSX games, meaning there's a very tight list of playable PS2/PSX games when compared to the 60GB's.

    And the latest couple versions of the 80GB PS3 have given up PS2 compatibility completely. I think the Metal Gear Solid 4 pack was the last model to have PS2 compatibility. Looks like it kept PS1 compatibility though.

    Luckily they still have the cheaper version (No Harddrive) of the PS2, maybe that's why they are not pushing for full backwards compatibility? To try and sell out their PS2 stocks?

    Only if your PS3 has PS2 Compatibility. The currently produced models do not.

    Check out This List (Wikipedia link). It shows you which models have what compatibility

    Hmm, I'm not quite sure what they mean.

    They may be referring to the Mod chips needed to play backup games on your PS1 and PS2, without them you cannot play downloaded games. The PS3 currently doesn't have a mod chip for it, so that's not an option.
