I realised that I really ought to charge my PS3 controller (can't remember the last time I did it either) but I couldn't find the USB cable that came with it or the other third party one I used. So I managed to find another USB cable, it fits perfectly but I can't tell if the controller is charging or not. Normally all four lights flash until it's fully charged, now one light flashes once and that's it. I've tried it in both my PS3 and on my laptop and dammit I can't tell. I can also surf the PS3 browser when it's charging in the PS3 which doesn't seem right. I'm pretty sure my USB slots are fine-my laptop's slots work perfectly and in that respect I'm sure the PS3 is the same. Plus I remember everything being fine the last time I charged it up. Has anyone else had this happen and everything has been fine or is something of mine messed up? I'm going to try to find another cable just in case but I wish I could find the one that worked well >_< Edit: Nevermind. I'm getting old >.> Just found a working USB cable packed with an old radio. Moving houses can be such a chore...Turns out the cable I just tried was a dud after all -_-
Well I was going to say push the "PS" button that opens the box that lets you shut the system or controller off and if the controller is charging it will show on the XMB as the battery icon will be animated like a cell phone battery does when its charging... but you seem to have it figured out so nevermind.
