Is a gaming keyboard nessesary? I was thinking about keyboards such as the g15, g19, etc. with their ability to hold micros and also the backlight. Seeing their as expensive as a kidney, theres no way i can afford one, nor would it be much different to my current keyboard. While i was thinking of these things i thought it wouldnt be too hard to program something that assigned a macro to a key, and whenever that key was pressed, the desired micro keys were virtually pressed. So replecating that part seemed plausable, but then I thought about the backlit keys ability and thought how badass it would be to have and also beneficial. Anyway, so far I have thought about using the LED assigned to the num lock and use those fiber wire things in toys to wrap all around the keys. It doesnt seem hard and if it does screw up, i canalways take them out Has anyone else done this? If so can you give advice?
save yourself all the trouble- macros can be assigned to normal keys. as for the lighting, turn on a small lamp. Leds look cool but if they are necessary (meaning other lights are off) you are unnecessarily straining your eyes, and as a hardcore gamer, you reduce your own performance in game.
best feature I use on my G15 disables the windows and context menu keys preventing them accidentally being pressed and minimising the game.
You can just pull out the key, I do that a lot. But there is a program that disables the Windows Key. I remember when I was playing Cod... ..on PC, forgot to pull out Windows key, accidently pressed it. When I got back to it, I respawned, which meaned that I was killed.
Ir is extremely necessary, how else are you supposed you shyryoken with one button? How else are you supposed to realize 400apm in Starcraft or any other RTS? HOW?
Perform the actual half circle punch. Actually perform 400 actions in one minute without placing relay points during 'waste' time. Be a true gamer.
