I need some help in jailbreaking my ipod. i open blackra1n as usual and click make it rain. then my ipod touch goes into recovery mode and says i have to restore and update it again. i saw my mate do his and it ended up differenty. so anyone noe how to jailbreak things properly?

I've done it for too many friends too remember. I think ipod touch 3rd generation was tethered so did you try to run the hack again after you ran it the first time? If it does work, when you turn your ipod off and on it will come up with the itune and cable picture. When that happens, don't restore, just run the hack again. But my ipod is wierd. It's a 2g but has mc as the serial thing in about and it is tethered. it also come with firmware 3.1. Any help on that?
