I know there is IPod DS that can play my music but I would like to know if there is out there a Video or Movie Player other than Moonshell?

    This is for R4...

    Thanks...

lmg-ng. It's a media player that is not specific just for the R4 :)

    Actually is "LMP-ng" :D

and that is the IPod DS to play music.

I want another application that is dedicated to play videos (Moonshell can do it but there has to be another fancy program out there)

    What's wrong with Moonshell?

    Yeah, thanks for that,

DPGs were specifically made to be only handled by Moonshell. Moonshell is all you need. If you are looking to play other formats, like .avi, you can use Tuna etc.

    There is nothing wrong.

It plays music and videos just fine but I'm just looking for an alternative that could be better...

So far, nothing is better. It still stays the best and is included in most firmwares.

two words TUNA VIDS! best video player ever.

plays avi videos on your ds! but only the Xvid kind. the tuna open file needs some kind of patch for the r4 but other than that works great

    read more on their website

dsvideo is pretty decent but hard to convert to the format

    here is the site

also here is a list of various homebrews which includes a video section

    hope this helps

Download, drag both .nds files onto MicroSD, DLDI patching may be necessary. Read the .txt file.

I have used tuna vids before and it is awesome.

like anand said you have to patch the files. I only had to patch the tuna open file but I would patch both to be sure
