Yo, romulation. I have bricked my wii by installing ios60 on system menu 4.2U. I installed it because i thought it was required to play wiiware games. So i installed it, and exited wad manager. When i did, The homebrew channel turned upside down. I exited the homebrew channel, and the screen turned black. Turned my wii off, turned it back on. BLACK SCREEN BRICK.

Please tell me there is an easy way to fix this without money!

Did you have Priiloader installed and a patched version of IOS70?

Did you back up your NAND before attempting to install this wad?

Do you have BootMii as an IOS or as Boot2?

So, does the Homebrew Channel pop up?

Can you access it at all?

If you don't have Priiloader, then you will need to spend money on unbricking your Wii...

When I turn on my wii, I get a black screen, nothing else.
Remotes won't sync, you can hear disc load.

Then the only way to have it unbricked is to either get a mod-chip and use the Universal Unbrick disc or send it to Nintendo and spend around $60-$120 to have them fix it.

They'll install the latest firmware too. :p

Also, I have never had experience with unbricking a Wii, but I know that you won't be able to without a mod chip.

There is this one neat little device that I have come across, but I don't know if it's for unbricking or not.

Did you have any brick protection at all?

Also, mike had some problems with his Wii.
A full brick too without Priiloader or anything else...

I refuse to buy a modchip.

I'll just buy a new wii.

    I too hate mod-chips...

There may be another way before you go buying a new Wii unless you REALLY want to...

And if you do buy a new one, just let me know if you need any help or have any questions about it.
I'm sure you can trade it in at GameStop if there is one near by or there are any.
They can fix it I believe.

The first Wii that I bought from there was fully bricked...so yeah. :)
I buy used consoles. Saves lotsa $$$. Except DS'.

Their main company depot place does. Not them.

They don't offer maintenance I think. But you can see if they do...
