    Hi!
My name is Marlo. I'm 18 years old, and I live in Canada. I've been playing Pokemon since December of 1998, but I think I've been playing video games my entire life. It all started when my sister made me play Super Mario Bros. with her on her NES, and the rest is history...

I pretty much own every Nintendo system out there, or at least one. Game and Watch? Got one. Pokemon mini? Got one. Virtual Boy? Got one. As a kid, I didn't have very many friends, so I made my friends in machines. Now that I have more friends, I can really enjoy the social aspect of gaming as well (as well as get every Pokemon! :p I don't need to buy both versions anymore.). I guess that's why I'm joining this site, too. I like to make friends online as well, and I like to help out with problems people are having.

I have Asperger's Syndrome, but that's really not a huge deal. If I seem socially dysfunctional, it's because I am, in a few ways, and I apologise. Feel free to tell me if you're offended by something I do or say, or something. I'll do my best never to do it again.

I like to write, read, learn languages, and sing. I really enjoy music. I like to travel. I went to Sweden last year, and I've been learning Swedish for almost 3 years now. I'd like to live there someday, I think. I love books. I love Ingmar Bergman films. I like to watch the Aussie version of Kath & Kim, and Desperate Housewives. Family Guy is hilarious. I like musicals. Mary Poppins is AWESOME. I guess you could call me girly in most respects. :)

I'm fairly bad at these introduction things. :p I guess I'll list my tech specs now. Only the modern stuff, really. The older systems need not be mentioned right now.

    - 2 Original DSes. One Silver, one Electric Blue. The silver was purchased on the release date in Canada. Dad waited for it at christmas and I was one of the first around here to get one. EXCITING.

    - 4 DS Lites. My original white one's touch screen is way off. Replaced with an Ice Blue model. Have 2 of the limited Pokemon ones. Bought one, then was given one (used) that just sort of lies around the house and gets used whenever I can't find one :p

    - 1 DSi. Hardly gets used.

    - 1 R4DS card, 1 DSTT card. Plan to replace them with an Acekard 2i very shortly (good choice?), but I still buy a lot of games. :)

    - 1 PSP-2001. Well loved, un-modded.

    - 1 XBOX 360 Arcade with a 20gb used harddrive. Does well enough for me.

    - 1 Wii. Played often. :)

So... who are you? I'd like to make some friends here, so feel free to post!

P.S.: Anyone who knows what my sprite is, wins. Well, was originally, because it's supposed to be for my personal trainer card. :p

You are very much welcome here at the university of roms. Rom U.
    Name's Dan AKA Dedboy.
I disagree with you, on the fact that you're bad with intros, I found yours to be well written, articulate and to the point. Do enjoy the time here, the community is better with you in it.

Call him Dedboy. To avoid confusion, Call me Dan.

Chances are, you'll see me a lot more than normal, since I'll be hanging around the literature, music and interaction threads a lot more than the tech help or the jokes ones. Oh, and Welcome to RomU.

Haha, I'll do my best. :p Thanks!

I might hang around the Lit/music thread, but I'm not sure yet. I've had some rotten experiences on some of those places. :p Ah well. Everything is worth a shot. :)

There are many literature and music related threads, and you can choose which ones you can take part in, just be sure to be sensitive about people's opinions and sentiments, those topics are very much subjective.

What?! You go into the other boards like the tech help one as a different user?

    Welcome!!! Not good with intro's?!
*falls off chair in a mixture of shock and "funny-ness"*

That was a really good intro that makes you out to be a very thoughtful person. Last intro I read had three words in it.

You'll like it here very much, and since I'm a Pokemon fan, general gaming fan and literature and art guy, we'll be getting along quite well.
