    What else can illustrator be used for and how different is is from Photoshop?

    photoshop is for editing existing images, illustrator is for creating vector graphics.

    Yeah Illustrator is for creating vector graphics or art, this can be done in PS too but its alot easier in Illustrator. Vector graphics have a huge advantage as they are not pixel based and can be resized to any size without distortion or loss of quality.

    I just got illustrator CS2 (the pirate bay, teehee), anyway, I really like it! Its got many advantages over theGIMP, which I had been previously using. vector paths are a bit difficuly to get used to, but I can see how they are usefull...

    GIMP is a photoshop alternative, not an illustrator alternative.

    I used illustrator for a project not long ago to make my logo for an assignment. Go easy, Im still new at it.

    Cheers mate, but somehow i think it might be too simple or something. Haven't learned all the thingamagics you can use in illustrator.

    The letters aren't completely centered in their hexagons :p , but it's pretty cool nonetheless.
